As opposed to hair loss in women, which can still be somehow concealed, baldness in men is easily spotted due to how much scalp is being bared. Because there are more men who are found to be in the advanced stages of baldness or hair loss, there is a greater percentage of males who are in need of hair transplantation. Getting a hair transplant is proven to be an efficient—but very expensive—men hair loss treatment.
Hair transplantation is usually recommended for men who are excessively losing hair and attaining no regrowth of hair shafts at all. It is considered to be a minor surgery, yet a critical procedure all the same, that involves removing of a patch of scalp with healthy hair follicles (donor site) and placing it to an area of the scalp with weak or dead hair follicles (beneficiary site).
