The lasermax comb is one of the laser phototherapy devices to receive FDA clearance for marketing, although the FDA has approved the device, only for safety. In other words, the government agrees that the laser comb is safe to use, but it does not guarantee that it works. FDA inspectors strongly stated that the Lexington International had been producing and marketing their HairMax comb—Premium and SE models that differ extremely from the genuinely aforementioned cleared HairMax comb in dose rate, and treatment parameters. FDA believed that these products can significantly affect the safety and efficiency of the product. This led to numerous negative feedbacks and bad reviews based on online forums and research as hair loss sufferers deserve a product that will help regrow hair, and should not settle for a product that is merely safe yet ineffective.

Light Therapy of LaserMax Comb: Effective or Simply Harmless
March 22nd, 2011
Pauline It would be safe to say that LaserMax Comb is a specific treatment comb. When brushing the hair, the LaserMax will emit low level laser light energy on the scalp. The light rays will penetrate the hair cells and provide stimulation for hair regrowth. However, it has been documented that FDA approval for devices like the LaserMax Comb is not based on any measure of their effectiveness as a hair loss treatment. Rather LaserMax Comb have merely been FDA approved recently for being non harmful. Yet the marketers have been cleverly touting their products FDA approval in press releases and their advertisements as if it were now proven to be an effective FDA approved hair loss product like Rogaine or Minoxidil.
