The Leading Hair Loss Products

hair loss productsHair plays an important role in our world. We cannot help it, but usually people are defined by their outer appearance. Having beautiful healthy hair is a part of the equation that individuals use to measure their beauty and appearance. However, one of the worst things that can alter our appearance is hair loss.  This occurs for a wide variety of reasons and there are a handful causes at the center of this problem.

What comes as especially good news is that there are a great number of different hair loss products. This is crucial because the causes for hair loss extend well beyond just genetic issues, which creates the necessity for a variety of products to address the potential different causes. This also includes being able to select from products based on gender. Here are some hair loss products you might need to consider to help you against your hair loss problems.

Rogaine contains minoxidil in either a two or a five percent solution.  Minoxidil can be rubbed into the scalp to stop any current hair loss, and in some cases can actually regrow the hair.  This type of treatment only works when it is used consistently, which means that once product use has ceased, hair loss will resume. Regaine is the UK version of Rogaine which still includes the same ingredients and treats the hair in the same way.

Propecia is a treatment that comes with FDA approval and is the most popular treatment for alopecia. It was used in the 1990′s to combat high blood pressure but studies later revealed that it can also fight against hair loss.

Finasteride, which is also known as Procerin, is an oral medication that is used as a hair loss treatment for men only.  This product works by inhibiting the hormone DHT, which is known to shrink the hair follicles by turning testesterone into the hormone DHT.  This medication has to be taken continuously, as ceasing taking this will result in the process of hair loss resuming.  Procerin is not an effective hair loss treatment for women unless their hair loss is due to DHT.

Laser Comb works by emitting a low-level laser light that stimulates the cells in your scalp and hair follicles. Just as plants respond to light, which helps them to grow and thrive, your hair will respond to the Laser Comb’s phototherapy by growing stronger, thicker, fuller, and healthier hair. Your scalp will also become healthier, as the beneficial effects of the Laser Comb can lead to a reduction in dandruff and scalp irritation.

Hair transplantion is a growing popular hair regrowth method among all the male cosmetic procedures performed. A good hair transplant is almost unnoticeable and produces the most dramatic change in one’s appearance. Nevertheless, achieving the desired result can be very painful and traumatic for the patient.

Hair concealers are possibly the safest and easiest treatments to use. If you use hair concealers properly it can produce desired results. With a little practice you will be able to conceal any bald patch with ease. Hair concealers can be solid products (like colored powder that coats and thickens your hair), sprays (aerosolized polymers for thickening hair) or particles (charged with static electricity tiny hair fibers that intertwine with your own hair).

Wigs and toupees are also used to conceal bald spots and make you look more impressive. A good wig can really work wonders but as a matter of fact it is usually expensive and extremely fragile. Toupees are very similar to wigs but generally cover a very much smaller area.

These are some hair loss products that you can use to fight hair loss.  However, always remember that no matter what the hair loss products are, the success of these products ultimately comes down to you. That is because none of these products will produce positive results over night, unless you fall for one of those spray-on gimmicks.

You will need to put a regular effort into your personal hair loss prevention and regrowth program. It’s all about consistency if you truly want to improve the health and thickness of your hair. Try starting off slowly with basic hair loss shampoos and then you can consider more aggressive approaches such as hair restoration surgery if the basic approach proves fruitless.
